Meet the Team

Mindy Eckert, PT, DPT, OCS, MTC

Mindy enjoys leading a passionate therapy team and promotes a clinic environment that implements best practice and evidence-based treatment styles in efforts to give patients high-quality care.

Her background includes earning her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from West Texas A&M University in 2010 and her Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2014. Mindy is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Specialist and Manual Therapy Certified.

She specializes in the treatment of lumbar and sacroiliac dysfunction as well as chronic pain management. Mindy also enjoys caring for a full range of post-operative conditions and musculoskeletal injuries.

Mindy is originally from northeastern New Mexico and grew up on her family’s cattle ranch. She enjoys reading, hiking, live music, and spending time with her husband and three young children.

Austin Torisk PT, DPT, CSOMT

Born and raised in Dumas, Texas, Austin moved to Boerne and graduated from Boerne High School in 2011. She then earned her Bachelor’s Degree of Exercise Sport Science at Texas State University in 2015. In 2018, she earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.

Austin arrived in Fredericksburg in 2019, where she dedicates her time to serving the hill country community. She is a Running Rehabilitation Specialist, Certified Sports and Orthopedic Manual Therapist and is currently completing her post-doctoral Fellowship of Manual Physical Therapy (FAAOMPT).

Austin is assisted by her yellow Labrador Retriever, Boo Radley, a certified Therapy Dog who enjoys coming to work to interact with and encourage patients.

When not at work, Austin enjoys the outdoors, spending time with her loved ones, traveling, hunting, and enjoying live music.

As Office Coordinator, Destiny brings warmth, energy, and efficiency to every interaction. Known for her radiant smile and positive personality, she serves as a vital connection between patients, the therapy team, and local physician offices.

A proud seventh-generation Gillespie County resident, Destiny’s roots run deep in the hill country community. After graduating from Fredericksburg High School in 2010, Destiny began her medical career and quickly gained experience managing a medical office.

In 2018, she found her true calling in Outpatient Therapy, where her organizational skills and love for patient care shine every day.

Destiny is married to a native Floridian and is the proud mother of three wonderful children. Outside of work, she coaches select softball, enjoys cheering on her kids from the sidelines, and is a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan. Her favorite place to relax is by the ocean, spending time at the beach with her family.

Apryl Andrews PT, DPT

Apryl is a Physical Therapist with a strong foundation in treating a wide range of conditions, including post-operative, musculoskeletal, vestibular, and neurological disorders. Her comprehensive approach to care is rooted in evidence-based practice and a passion for helping patients return to their highest level of function.

She earned her Bachelor of Science from Texas Tech University in 2016, followed by her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2019. Since then, Apryl has pursued advanced training to better serve her patients, including certifications in LSVT BIG for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease and a Certificate of Competency in Vestibular Rehabilitation. She has also completed specialized coursework in concussion management and dry needling.

Apryl has lived in various places across the U.S. and abroad, but she is proud to now call Fredericksburg home. Outside the clinic, she enjoys outdoor adventures like hiking, camping, fishing, and hunting. She also loves spending time with her family and her two dogs—a mini Australian Shepherd and a Yellow Lab.

Pamela is a highly skilled Occupational Therapist with advanced certifications in Hand Therapy and Breast Cancer Rehabilitation. With a whole-person approach to care, she focuses on restoring balance and function to help patients regain independence in their daily lives.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1998 and became a Certified Hand Therapist in 2004. In 2023, Pamela further expanded her expertise by earning certification as a Breast Cancer Rehabilitation Specialist through the Physiological Oncology Rehabilitation Institute.

Pamela has a deep passion for working with individuals affected by acute or cumulative trauma, disease, or acquired deformities impacting the upper extremity. She integrates a variety of treatment techniques to support patients in returning to meaningful activities—whether personal, professional, or recreational.

Pamela has brought compassionate, expert care to patients in both home health and outpatient therapy settings.

A Fredericksburg native, Pamela enjoys spending time with her son, her dogs, and her extended family. Outside of work, she loves cooking, discovering estate sales, and relaxing with a good movie.

Pamela S. Meyer OT, CHT

Chenoa is a dedicated physical therapist with over seven years of clinical experience. Born and raised in Fredericksburg, Texas, she is proud to serve the community she calls home. Her passion lies in helping patients regain mobility, function, and confidence through personalized, hands-on care.

Chenoa earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2014, followed by her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in Austin, Texas, in 2018. During her doctoral studies, she completed advanced manual therapy coursework including; cranio-fascial, cervical and upper thoracic spine manipulation, functional assessment and treatment of the lumbo-pelvic-hip complex, and myofascial release techniques.

After graduating, Chenoa worked as a travel physical therapist, gaining valuable experience across Texas, South Carolina, and New Mexico. Her work spanned a variety of settings, including sports medicine, outpatient orthopedics, acute care rehabilitation, and home health. In 2020, she returned to Texas and has since concentrated her practice in outpatient orthopedic therapy, where she continues to refine her manual therapy skills to support patients throughout their recovery journey.

Outside the clinic, Chenoa enjoys spending time outdoors—especially anything involving sunshine and water—listening to live music, and making memories with her friends and family.

Meet Boo Radley, our beloved six-year-old yellow Labrador Retriever—and undisputed Employee of the Month, every month! Boo takes his job as the clinic's official greeter very seriously, welcoming everyone with a wagging tail and a warm heart.

Dedicated to his role as a therapy dog, Boo brings comfort, joy, and the occasional slobbery kiss to patients and staff alike.

When he's off duty, Boo loves spending time with his family, going for car rides, chasing tennis balls, and swimming like a pro. Whether he’s at work or play, Boo’s mission is simple: make every day a little brighter.

Kat is a passionate physical therapist who truly enjoys helping individuals get back to what they love most. She values a whole-body treatment approach and takes special care of what is valuable to the patient. She has a strong background in treating orthopedic sport conditions and is also specialized in women’s health/pelvic floor therapy.

Kat graduated in 2012 from Arizona State University with her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and then went on to receive her Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree from University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2018. She began her career as a traveling physical therapist working in mostly outpatient orthopedic setting in Texas, Montana, and Arizona. Kat has completed advanced post professional training in manual therapy, musculoskeletal injuries, ACL rehabilitation, and pelvic floor physical therapy. She is passionate about helping the athletic population of all ages and prenatal and postpartum women.

Kat was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona but has called the Hill Country home for many years now. She married her husband, a Harper native, and they recently welcomed a baby girl in January 2025. Kat enjoys spending time with her loved ones, traveling, live music, Crossfit, all things outdoors, and snuggling with her dog Ruby.

Kolleen Burr PT, DPT

Kolleen Burr, PT:  Kolleen believes that the human body is amazingly resilient with an innate wisdom to heal

Kolleen has a passion for helping each individual to elevate their body awareness so they begin to recognize their potential for recovery.  Her intention is to design a personalized PT program that is holistic and intuitive, encouraging the body to work toward ideal movement patterns and a balanced state. 

Kolleen’s educational background includes earning a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Exercise Science from Virginia Tech followed by a Master’s of Science degree in Community Health and Physical Therapy at Old Dominion University.  In 2011, she graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree.  Through the years, her practice has evolved through eclectic training and certifications.  Her continuing education has included Polestar Pilates Rehabilitation, Aquatic Therapy, pain management, comprehensive musculoskeletal rehabilitation and manual therapy, balance and vestibular training, and holistic techniques of meditation and yoga.

Early in her career, Kolleen enjoyed traveling professionally to provide physical therapy in several states across the country.  These opportunities allowed Kolleen to build a foundation of skills and experience in diverse clinical populations.  Prior to coming to the Hill Country in 2021, she worked for the University of Tennessee Medical Center, a level 1 Trauma center, providing outpatient care for individuals with diverse musculoskeletal conditions, pain management, balance and dizziness issues. 

Kolleen is originally from Virginia.  When she is away from the clinic, she enjoys spending time in nature with friends and family, volunteering, meditation, traveling, hiking and biking. 

Clay Holland PT, DPT

Clay graduated from Sewanee and went on to earn his doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Saint Augustine. He launched his physical therapy practice in Fredericksburg in 2007, later completing a Manual Therapy specialty and earning board certification in orthopedics. His clinical focus has included complex spine rehabilitation and electrodiagnostic testing.

He doesn’t like things that are fun. We’re still trying to figure out why we hang out with him.

Jade Felix graduated from Dickinson State University with a double major in Business Administration and Finance. For the past nine years, she has specialized in physical therapy billing, bringing expertise and precision to the field.

Outside of work, Jade can be found in the mountains, on the river, or starting colts. She enjoys spending time with her horse, Swagger Daryl, and her pup, Luke.
